Representing the teenage voice
If you’re a teenager aged 13-18 and living in Ireland, Soar wants to hear from you. This survey below is a space for you to give a voice to your experiences.
We want to know more about your experiences of life, the bits you find hard, the bits that exhilarate you, and how you feel about the future. We want to learn more about what would help young people to reach the potential that’s already there inside them.
Why are we doing these surveys?
We want to gain a deeper understanding of how young people experience life so as we can advocate on behalf of you as accurately as possible. This is only one of the many ways that we gather information about the teenage experience - even the questions for this survey were written in a room with teenagers.
The results of these surveys guide our future programmes and our conversations with change makers in the world. It all starts with you though, the first change maker in the chain.

Theory of our work
At The Soar Foundation we are constantly evolving our work not only inhouse, but also in collaboration with other experts. Collaboration allows us to gain additional expertise on youth well-being, our works impact and guiding theories.
Our Impact
Since 2012 we have met over 75,000 teenagers and young adults who have participated in a Soar Workshop either in their school or in a community setting. We measure our impact in a number of ways including number of young people who have received a Soar workshop, number of schools and youth centres we have provided services to and the geographical spread.
We now have a suite of programmes that are designed to support young people at various stages of their teenage years and we will be capturing our impact across these programmes.
