School is out for summer but that doesn’t mean Soar is, this month we have been focusing on growth. Most specifically growing our facilitator team so we can reach more young people.
Recruitment
We have had two incredible recruitment events. The first to find young people between 15-18 who want to be a part of our youth crew, the heart of Soar. The second to recruit people 18-30 to train to become facilitators. We met some absolutely incredible people and know that Soar will always be in safe hands.
Feedback
We ask all the schools we do workshops with to provide feedback so we can ensure that our work is always the best it can be for young people.
Here is some of the findings from that feedback and some quotes from students below
- 76% of young people felt more comfortable talking about challenges they faced as a result of attending a Soar workshop.
- 73% felt more motivated to pursue their dreams/ goals because of a Soar workshop.
- 92% felt they had a better understanding of themselves and others as a result of a Soar workshop.
- 92% of young people felt this program should be available to other young people their age
